We can see at a glance that Litter 2 appears to have produced the most offspring that themselves went on to produce. We note that Ch Taj Arab from Litter 2 became the dam for Litters 3 and 4. We also note that there are no other litters (from any breeder, other than Molly) sired by Mohammed Ali, not even by Mrs Gibson (Acklam) Ali's breeder/owner. Let's look at a pedigree. We chose Ch Taj Akmed Of Chaman because this was an offspring of Litter 4 born in 1956
The above is a striking development in Molly's breeding program. By mating Mohammed Ali Of Acklam to his daughter (Taj Arab of Chaman), Molly effectively displaced the majority of her lines developed over almost two decades, in favour of Ali's lineage. We mentioned on page 5 that it was apparent Molly thought highly of Ali, and clearly, this breeding shows the extent of Molly's enthusiasm for Ali and his bloodlines. Another new dimension is "inbreeding". The mating to the daughter results in a COI of around 30%, nearly all coming from Mohammed Ali. Molly repeated this mating, a further reinforcement of her favour towards Ali's lineage, and presumably an indicator of her satisfaction with the output of the first breeding of Ali and Taj Arab? Things are not as simple as that! She had developed two distinct lines - 1) Her original lines, 2) Mohammed Ali Of Acklam lines. As you can see from the above, in parallel to breeding the new Ali lines, Molly continued to breed her old Chaman lines. Taj Asam was born 14/8/1954 and was exported to Mrs Ruth Burnette Sayres in the USA. Mrs Sayres must have liked Chaman lines because she also imported the black and tan bitch Taj Alya Of Chaman (Mohammed Ali Of Acklam x Taj Arab Of Chaman). Mrs Sayres also imported from Canada Sahib Taj Akbar El Myia ( Taj Akbar Of Chaman x Pic Of Chaman) a red bitch, whelped 11/5/1938. Sahib is a littermate to the famous Khyber el Myia and Rajah el Myia, both owned by Mary Matchett's el Myia kennel in Canada.
