Ch Westmill Razuran
WESTMILL RAZURAN - AKC A445296 , Whelped 6/25/37. Gold
Breeder - Mrs M Wood (UK - Westmill) , Owner Mrs Jack Oakie (Oakvardon). Razuran
WESTMILL RAZURAN - was imported at the same time as Natanz by Oakvardon. Whilst waiting for Natanz to finish her American championship, he was bred to Dr Marxmiller's bitch Kaaba Shiloh Of Dellire (while not an import, her dam was sired by Westmill Omar), with the resulting litter being born 1/15/41. Then Razuran was bred to Natanz, which produced a litter on 8/12/42
Venita Vardon Oakie with Westmill XXXXX???

(AHT Update December 2015) - In the photo above we are not sure which of Venita Vardon Oakie's imports this is. Lillian Goodman informs that both Razuran and Natanz were imported at the same time. This photo shows Venita with one of the hounds upon her returning from a trip to Europe in 1939. AKC stud book shows registration date as 12/40 for both, and they have consecutive registration numbers, suggesting they were both registered at the same time. So we cant determine which of the imports the above hound is
(AHT update: 12/12/11) - A full litter mate to Razuran was Am Ch Westmill Humayun Of Catawba a brindle dog bred by Mrs M Wood. Humayun, was exported to Mrs James Austin in the USA about a year before Razuran was exported to Mrs Jack Oakie. Humayun was used by Mr & Mrs Rudolph and Harriett Engle (USA
- Dunrobin), by Sunny Shay (Grandeur), by Elizabeth D Whelan (USA - Pocono), and by Mr & Mrs Frank Wiethoff (USA - Kerrin). So this particular Westmill line played an important part in the formation and foundation of early USA bloodlines
