However the legacy continues. Kingway's import Patrols Ali Shah Bey was quite popular as a stud. Here we see another pointer to the signifigance of the Kingway kennel in the breeding history of the USA Afghan Hound. On 6/18//1949 Kingway's Patrols Ali Shah Bey sired a litter for Mr & Mrs William L & Margaret L Waskows Little Fir kennel in a breeding with Mouhna of Kingway. (Mouhna was in the final Kingway bred litter of April 17, 1946 and involved a breeding of Zenophon Of Elcoza ex Ch Uly Hazrat of Kingway) , Mouhna went to the Waskows at Little Fir. Pedigree of that Little Fir Kennel below

There was a second Little Fir litter bred close to the time of the above one, this second Little Fir litter whelped on 6/23/1949 and involved the breeding of Patrols Ali-Shah-Bey and Taia Of Kingway, Taia was also owned by the Waskows Little Fir Kennel

Ed: Conclusion to article - Mrs Porter also imported in 1947 Kingway Ben-Bhey of Birchwood bred by Eva Gudgeon (Birchwood, Canada). Whilst Mrs Porter didn't appear to use Ben-Bhey in her breeding program, he was used at stud I think it's pretty self-apparent that the Kingway Afghan Hound kennel had a significant impact upon the development of the breed. Mrs Porter was quite adventurous and pioneering and prepared to import new blood and/or use new blood in the development of her own bloodlines. As we have mentioned in these pages, Kingway are important bloodlines behind some famous kennels that followed, incuding Longlesson, Little Fir, Far Away, Grandeur and many others
