"Straker" Afghan Hound

The Afghan Hound, a series of "Prize Dogs" issued in England by EDWARD SHARP & SON (confectionary) in 1924. The cards were stuck to the lids of their boxes of Sharp's Super Kreem Toffee.
The Afghan Hound in the photo is named Straker, a cream female, born in 1919, her parents were Rajah and Begum. Straker was of Bell Murray kennel breeding, (the desert or plains type of early Afghan Hound). Straker had two sisters Kanee and Ranee, the latter became a UK Champion
