After that little excursion to visit Arken kennel, let's get back to the second Cyann litter - (Amanullah Of Kandahar x Kali Of Prides Hill) 12/15/1937. We have recently obtained a super photo of littermate #9 the dog - Am Ch Tanyah Sahib Of Cyann which is shown below.

Allthough Tanyah Sahib is famous for winning the first National Specialty, he doesn't appear to have been used significantly at stud. His littermate/sister - Tanyah of Cyann produced a single litter which whelped 2/28/1941. In this litter (sired by Omar Of Fortworth) was the brindle dog Obba Of Cyann who went to Dr Gertrude F Kinsey's Altoun kennel in New York. Let's have a look at Obba's pedigree..

Ch Obba Of Cyann

The pedigree is a continuation of the philosophy of breeding the Cyann English lines (in this case Omar Of Fortworth) into the established Prides Hill lines. Obba of Cyann sired 8 litters carrying the Altoun kennel name, as well as siring several litters for Far Away kennel and also the Interhill Kennel, so Obba was an important stud on the east coast. Obba's stud career extended for a decade, siring his last litter at the age of 11 years of age.
