Afghan Hound Times (Afghan Hound Database and Breed Information Exchange)
(Sketch by Marguerite Kirmse c 1907)
The above sketch was found by Rehan Ud Din Baber, an expert on Indian/Asian hounds
Rehan informs us that Marguerite Kirmse was a British-born artist who has migrated to USA in 1910. Before that, she spent her younger years sketching animals at the London Zoo, The Royal Agricultural Fair, and the Crystal Palace Dog Show. Hence, I think the dog sketched here is probably 'Zardin' who was first exhibited at the Kennel Club Show in Crystal Palace in 1907.
