We don't know what breed of dog this was. In those early days Afghan Hounds were often referred to as "Persian Greyhounds". We do know that in later years Mr H Allan did own what we know to be true Afghan Hounds. But as "Persian Greyhounds" is a early name attributed to our breed, and Mr H Allan was known to own true Afghan Hounds in later years we have included this dog in our timeline.
