August 2012 JUNIORS IN THE NEWS - CASSIDY FURLONG, BEST OVERALL HANDLER WINNER AT GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF CANADA NATIONAL SPECIALTY, 19 JULY2012, SURREY, BC “Hello, “My name is Cassidy Furlong and I am the recipient of the Golden Retriever Club award for 2012. “I am a member of the Lower Mainland Junior Kennel Club and have been showing for two years. Being a Junior has been good for me. I have become more patient with myself and my dog in and out of the ring. “I have developed many friendships as well as, learned about many other Breeds not just my own. I go to handling classes so I can continually work on developing my skills to become the best Junior handler that I can be. Thank you for the book I haven’t had time to read it yet but it looks like it will be great information to continue my knowledge of dogs. “This show was held at Hazelmere Park in Surrey , B.C.” Cassidy Furlong Surrey , B.C. Colleen McDaniel came from the Open Class handling Poole 's Ide American Idol. Juniors Judge, Frank N. Summerside awarded Colleen Best Junior Handler. Colleen is the co-breeder and co-owner of Poole 's Ide American Idol. |
